Material Handling Systems

URT’s systems use conveyor belts to transport electronic items through the shredding process and feeding systems to introduce materials into the shredder efficiently and safely.

Sorting & Separation

Our systems utilize a variety of different sorting and separating techniques. The magnetic separators separate ferrous metals (e.g. steel) from the shredded materials. The eddy current separators remove non-ferrous metals (e.g. aluminum, copper). And the air classifiers separate lightweight materials (e.g. plastics) from heavier materials.

Dust Collection System

Our systems contain a dust collection system to collect and manage dust generated during the shredding process. This ensures a clean working environment for our teams and prevents air pollution.

Post-Shredding Processes

URT’s facilities use multiple post-shredding process, such as our Copper Chopper and Sink Float System, to increase the value and produce high-quality outputs for our downstreams.

Control System & Safety Features

A control system manages the entire shredding process to monitor equipment status and to ensure the safety of our teams. Additionally, emergency stop buttons, safety interlocks, and other safety mechanisms are available to protect our teams and prevent accidents.
